General Meeting and Artist demonstration by Claudia Fletcher: When it comes to western painting the mind immediately turns to Remington, Russell and—Fletcher? Well, maybe not yet but someday. Claudia Fletcher is an award-winning artist who specializes in western themes. That is not to say that she is limited to just western art, but horses are where Claudia began drawing as a child, and elements of western life are what most appeal to her. A professional artist and muralist, Claudia was born and raised on a cotton and alfalfa farm in Madera. Claudia Fletcher now calls Clovis, CA home and from there has been slowly painting the Valley from one end to another. Claudia possesses an inherent love for the Valley and a natural talent for capturing this essence through art. Locally she has gained quite a reputation as a muralist. Her murals range from a barrel room on a winery, to an underwater scene in a private home.
