“Capturing Catalina in Plein Air” is a collaboration of four artists (Terry d. Chacon, Joan Coffey, Patricia Rose Ford and Nita Harper) who have painted on the island, some going back eight consecutive years.
Once you have painted the island with its dazzling light and beautiful landscape, you can understand why The Plein Air Painters of America was founded there.
The exhibit will also include paintings by the late Milford Zornes. This is a special opportunity to see works by one of the leaders in the "California Style" watercolor movement.
We look forward to seeing you at the September 7 reception.
Thanks go to Clidine Roper, the Banning Art Gallery and the Banning Cultural Alliance.
Elsewhere in the gallery is art by David Fairrington and the co-op artist.
The exhibit runs Aug. 20-Oct. 14, 2013.
