Birds of Prey Workshop - One Space Still Available

Nature Photo Workshop - Birds of Prey and Baby Chicks.
May 26, 2013 at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy, west of Port Dover, Ontario

One more day, one more spot available, and two extremely cute owlets who soon won't be baby chicks

On May 12th, we had a privilege of shooting again at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy in Vittoria, and it was another success. We had great weather, good light, and the owl chicks are fluffy and most adorable.

Here are some pictures from the trip:

The chicks are maturing very quickly. Hard to imagine that they were born just two months ago in an shell roughly the size of a chicken egg. For more information on the upcoming photo shoot, visit:
May 26 Workshop

This nature workshop was designed for intermediate and advanced photographers and nature lovers who want to observe the birds and their off-springs in a safe, natural environment.

We will start the day at 8:30 reviewing the equipment and the day schedule, and then we will move to the adjoining field where we will spend the morning between 9:00 and 12:00 photographing adult birds of prey both in perched positions and in flight, as well as having the special privilege of photographing the baby owl chicks. Don't miss this opportunity.

In a small group setting, you will learn how to make artistically pleasing, and technically excellent, images of many photogenic birds posing in their natural environment. Les will be present to guide participants, evaluate and interpret situations, assist with the camera equipment, and to answer any questions.

In the afternoon, we will spend 2 hours in Port Dover, shooting at the lighthouse and around the harbour, and in the picturesque town of Port Dover. Port Dover is about two hours from Toronto and the afternoon session is optional.

Each participant will receive a large nature print with four timber wolves. This image was printed as an oversize art print on heavy weight paper.
