Artist and teacher Diane Kraudelt will be teaching a beginning oil painting class at the Artists League of the Sandhills in Aberdeen, North Carolina. The class is offered in July and in September.
This beginning oil painting class will help you start the wonderful process of creating with oils. Oil painting is very versatile varying from thick, rich impasto techniques such as used by Van Gogh to thin layer glazing techniques which give a luminous depth to a painting. These techniques as well as brushes, paints, canvas preparation, color mixing, and more are explained during this class for beginning oil painters. All
painting supplies are provided!
Diane is originally from Detroit, Michigan. She grew up drawing everything around her and completed a four year commercial art program. Upon graduation, Diane began studying oil painting with university classes, workshops and private lessons. Her paintings are exhibited in galleries and in private and corporate collections. She is an active participant in the arts and her organizations include Artists League of the Sandhills, Visual Art Exchange, Fine Arts League of Cary, and the Arts Council of Moore County. She has been teaching for several decades and currently teaches art locally.
