Tips, tools and various techniques for painting paper with Sally Penley.
Workshop Description
In this 7-hour workshop, participants will learn various techniques for painting or covering papers to create painted papers as standalone masterpieces—or to create backgrounds for their drawings or other artwork. The workshop will take a “play day” approach, where participants can explore several techniques from a selection of twelve. Sally will focus on a few of the techniques for demonstrations (e.g., paste paper, acrylic glazes, foam brush techniques), but will rapidly cover all the other techniques listed in a small how-to booklet given to each participant. The instruction booklet will allow participants to experiment with the other techniques at their leisure after the workshop. In addition to the booklet, participants will also receive a “goody bag” of tools and a blank book to fill with their “Blitz” experiments. Class size is limited to 6.
Sally will send a brief supply list upon registration.
