Acrylic Studio
All levels of experience are welcome. Individualized instruction will be provided to meet each student's skill level.
If you are a beginner, we will start with basic color mixing and advancing to color theory. You will be taught all aspects of color theory and how to use it to enhance your work. Color theory will be taught using only the three primary colors combined with white, black, burnt umber, and burnt sienna acrylic paints. Value and contrast will be addressed as well. Many techniques will be taught, including but not limited to, wet brush, dry brush, layering, stippling, highlighting, and shadowing. Other techniques will be added as your paintings progress.
If you already have experience working with acrylics, class instruction will be modified to fit your needs.
