'Domesticated Pets in Space'

GALERIE PROJECT is looking for Artists of all mediums in the New York City Metropolitan area to submit for inclusion in our upcoming Fall exhibition at Brooklyn Fireproof, (119 Ingraham St, Brooklyn, NY, from November 13-15, 2015.) The theme is ‘Domesticated Space Travelers.’

Imagine an alternate universe where our pets are the ones exploring outer space instead of humans…

What if Rex the dog, Mittens the cat, or even Wiggles the hamster left the comforts of Earth to set out on a very grand adventure to discover a new planet, find new life on Mars, or even lead the race to space exploration!

‘Domesticated Space Travelers’ could spawn a new future for mankind. Our furry – or slimy – creatures could give us new hope in addition to the tweets and purrs. But what would it look like? That’s where you, The Artist, comes in.

Imagine your favorite pets flying through far-off galaxies and discovering new worlds using your art medium of preference. All mediums and styles welcome. Submit your artwork or portfolio along with a 100-word or less artist statement about your work. Winners will be announced on August 31, 2015.

Each participant may submit 10 images.

1)   You must be a member of FineArtAmerica.com in order to cast votes in this contest.   Your account must have been active at least 30 days prior to the start of the contest in order to vote.

2)   You may only vote once per image.

3)   You may vote for as many images as you like... but only once for any given image.
