Theme: Light Painting Portraits

Guidelines: You may submit up to 2 (two) Images. They must be of the light painting genre and must be minimally processed. The only post processing or altering allowed will be level adjustments, white balance or any adjustments that modify the image exposure but retaining as much of the integrity of the image as you can. If the post processing is limited enough to be acceptable as a documentary photograph rather than a digitally altered image that is what we are looking for. There will be no layered shots accepted for this contest. Single shot long-exposures and the use of your choice of light to paint in the subject in your portrait only. Whether it be flash, flashlight, fire or any other sort of light just make sure your photographs are one continuos long-exposure. No limit on exposure time. Can be shot digitally or film scans will also accepted as long as the digital scan fits the file format requirements. Please do not add any logos or watermarks, images watermarked will not be accepted. No Graphic Violence, pornographic nudity or obscenity.

The best Image will be featured on our upcoming Contest Winners Page and will also be featured on our Graffiti Light Project Newsfeed. We will also be exhibiting your work at our event and exhibition digital slideshow gallery for events in 2015.

The top 10 images will be selected by a jury and will be displayed on the www.graffitilightproject.com homepage and you will be featured on the Graffiti Light Project homepage and will be entered for a chance to win tickets to one of our upcoming events.

The winner will receive:
A $50 Credit Towards Graffiti Light Project Prints and/or Event Tickets!

Top Ten:
The top ten photographers will be featured on our Top Prospects Page on www.graffitilightproject.com

The contest is open to entries starting November 25, 2014 and we will be accepting images until December 9, 2014. We will ask that once you have received verification that your image has made the top ten stay posted for the email announcing the winner! We will announce the winning image by the 1st day of next month. We will ask that the winner be able to submit a brief artist statement and 3-5 additional images to be featured on www.graffitilightproject.com/featured-artists

Submit your images in jpg format (240-300dpi) with the shortest side being over 2000 pixels. All images must be submitted by uploading to this page only. Any other entries will not be accepted. Each participant may submit 2 images.

1)   Votes may be cast by any visitor to FineArtAmerica.com (members and non-members).

2)   You may only vote once per image.

3)   You may vote for a total of 5 different images... but again, only once for any given image.
