Boats by Midwest America Artists

I recently had the opportunity to watch a group of talented Plein Air artists painting boats at a marina in Door County, Wisconsin. It got me thinking that boats would be a great subject for this week's contest.

Here are the RULES:

1. NO PHOTOGRAPHY. Artwork may be in any medium other than photography -- paintings, drawings, sculpture, digital art, etc. If the image 'Medium' is listed as 'Photography,' it will be removed from the contest.

2. Boats must be the main subject of each piece -- sailboats, powerboats, tugboats, fishing boats, canoes, etc.

3. The artist must live in one of the 12 Midwest states -- Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas.

4. Family friendly artwork only.

5. Images will be removed without notice that do not fit the contest parameters.

6. No vote solicitation.

7. If you are not yet a member, you are invited to join the MIDWEST AMERICA ARTISTS Group. Note the group's focus and guidelines.

Each participant may submit 5 images.

1)   You must be a member of FineArtAmerica.com in order to cast votes in this contest.   Your account must have been active at least 30 days prior to the start of the contest in order to vote.

2)   You may only vote once per image.

3)   You may vote for as many images as you like... but only once for any given image.
