Beyond the Comfort Zone

Up for a challenge or ready to step out and try something different? This contest could be just the ticket!

The concept here is to enter a piece which includes a new to you element to your work. It's up to you how you play it. For some it will mean staying with a regular medium but trying a different technique or new starting point etc. For others is may mean crossing over to an unfamiliar medium altogether. Let's be brave!

Don't panic. Remember all competitors will walk this unknown road together! Yes this may require actually creating a piece specifically for the contest but it does give incentive to try something new. I encourage you to go for it! I'm giving a few extra days from this announcement to allow creative juices to flow.

This contest is just for fun: No prizes but think of the achievement of producing beyond your comfort zone!

I can't wait to see what talent we unearth!

Rules

1. Entries must incorporate a new to the competitor element
2. Each entry must be accompanied by a discussion post giving the name of the artist
name of the entry and brief description of the new element incorporated
3. Limited to 1 entry per member
4. Every competitor may vote for any piece but only one vote per entry
5. No offensive pieces including nudity or offensive language permitted
6. No prizes but lots of adoration for the worthy winner!
7. Open to members and non members alike... Let your friends know to check in and vote!

Each participant may submit 1 image.

1)   You must be a member of FineArtAmerica.com in order to cast votes in this contest.   Your account must have been active at least 30 days prior to the start of the contest in order to vote.

2)   You may only vote once per image.

3)   You may vote for as many images as you like... but only once for any given image.
