Contest Rules

Our last contest was Beyond the Camera which celebrated artistic works that began with a great photo, then enhanced through various software and/or composite techniques in post processing. Now it is time for the other end of the spectrum. This contest celebrates Art IN the Camera � artistic works that are made in the act of photographing the subject. This will be a juried contest (jurors may not submit entries).

Rules:
1. Please submit your very best Photographic artwork - only 1 Image per artist
2. Photographs only
3. No creative post-processing techniques / digital alteration / HDR. Basic editing for exposure, contrast, and cropping are allowed.
4. No photographs of another artist�s work (painting, sculpture, trademarks, etc)
5. No images of nudity, death, cruelty or violence of any kind in the contest � if it needs to be filtered by FAA rules, it should not be submitted to this contest.

Any image that does not meet the contest rules will be deleted without notice.

We�re looking for images that the artist has put thought and time into creating. It should be more than just a picture � for example, it may capture emotion, or evoke emotion, or offer something of aesthetic value, revealing something beautiful to the viewer. Through these images we seek to share the Photographic Artist�s unique vision.

Anyone submitting to the contest is also invited to join The Artistic Photographer group who is sponsoring this contest. Group home page feature award is only possible if the artist joins the group and submits their image there.
