Contest Rules

Art as a therapy and self-expressionI don't like to call it a contest. Contest is something competitive. Can art be measured by being good enough? I don't think so.

I would like to introduce a new type of contest which is an opportunity to show every visitor of the site that art is not only beauty and design, but it is something even deeper.

Thousand of years people used art to express the feelings and heal the souls. Is not it what makes art so mesmerizing? Is not it amazing when you look at the created piece and almost feel what another person went through? Is not it fascinating that if a piece touches your heart, despite years and distance between you and an artist - you connect with him, heart to heart.

Please post here this work that you could not not to create. When you felt that you just MUST put it out to the paper, clay or any other medium to express your deepest feelings. When you felt that if you do not do it - you might explode, not being able to keep it inside.

Please actively participate in voting and commenting. Be polite and encouraging. Remember, someones feelings and art can not be measured. Your voting shows your opinion on an ability to feel the feelings that the artist expressed and not just a 'Like It' check mark.

The prizes are obvious - absolutely everyone who posts his work gets acknowledged as an expressive artist! Those who gets the most votes are the ones who succeed to pass in his art a part of his soul. Congratulations to everyone who participates!
