Abstracts in Asian Style

UPDATE: Just checked some submissions and had to remove manipulated photos and non-abstracts. Here's a reminder of what abstract art is about:

'Abstract art uses a visual language of shape, form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world.'

This means that the subject is not clear. I did leave some semi-abstracts, though.

Let's celebrate abstract paintings that have been influenced by Japanese and Chinese art. The winner will be featured as the new 'In Asian Style - Paintings and Drawings' logo for a month or a bit longer.

Rules:

1. Your paintings and drawings must be done in Asian style. As usual, I'm mean enough to delete even the best submissions if they are not abstracts and not in Asian style.

2.Please submit your contest submissions to the hosting group, so that I can feature you if you win.

3. No photos or computer-generated art. Digital paintings are fine as long as you PAINTED them (used your computer or tablet as you would use the canvas).

4. As always, promoting your submissions is encouraged, but blatant voting solicitation is not.

Each participant may submit 2 images.

1)   Votes may be cast by any visitor to FineArtAmerica.com (members and non-members).

2)   You may only vote once per image.

3)   You may vote for as many images as you like... but only once for any given image.
