Who I Am

I am a color messer- one who throws, dabs, brushes, dots, etc., paint on a surface, whether it be canvas, paper, glass, tile, etc., to see what happens.

Do I have a particular style? Probably not since one person stated: "Wow, you're all over the place!"

Sometimes I work in bright, bold colors. Other times I work in dark, mysterious colors. I love mystery, don't you?

Graphite, charcoal and pastels are added here and there to keep me from going color crazy. That happens when I work in color too much and need a break to clear my head.

Sometimes I work wirh colored pencil too loosen up. Meaning getting my creative juices going.

Painting and music go hand in hand. Sometimes it's heavy metal, classic rock, Grateful Dead, sometimes contemporary Christian.

Even with my music I'm all over the place. Creativity, just me here, can't be locked in a box. If you can't be yourself with what inspires you and go with the status quo all the time, why bother? Creativity has to be free in order to be.

So in conclusion: learn to be free and fly. The only people who hold us back are us. Are you ready to jump out of the boat and walk on water?
