Wearing the Title of Artist

What does it mean when one claims the title of Artist? Does that mean that is all I ever do? Must I sell my art to claim the title? Or can I accept that I am an artist because I am a creative being? Without waiting for an external source, I say it is the latter. I need no other external validation; I stand firm and accept the mantel of artist. Look out world this artist is here to stay and is unafraid to speak her mind because it is my truth. So carry on and everyone have their own creativity renaissance, create your art, and relish in the title of artist.
