UN Diptych 1A Study

Today I began to think about color, and I settled on a palette of Ultramarine, Cobalt Violet, Burnt Sienna, and Viridian along with black and white. I don't usually use black, but the mood and purpose of these paintings demand it. There will be red accents later. I began to test this palette in a study, to see what happens. I like the mood of this study, which is definitely moving in the direction I have in mind.
