Trying to find the groove

May 5th, 2008 - 10:59 PM

Everyday I go into the studio thinking I will get to work on something new. But, for some reason I haven't been able to get back into the groove since moving. I think it is because I realize how many paintings I have stored and am reluctant to add more to the stash. If I can't think of a specific purpose for the piece, I don't seem able to start anything new. Here is one I did as a birthday gift for my daughter-in-law. It is a companion piece for one I did in memory of a pet that had died. This little guy is still with her and I figured it best to give it now instead of waiting several years for him to die. It is a miniature 5"X7".
