Tom Cruise has it so does Gisele (Leos ex flame), and the whole lot more have it, including the likes of Lady RuPaul, and I am talking about the smouldering hot confident look, when I place you in the hands of Suchandra and Sree.

So you want to be a model, actor, artist and want the worlds fame and name to be at your feet. Well, you got to work it darlings. And I am not just asking you to flaunt the well-endowed parts (although that’s a cliché classic and will never go out of vogue, what I look for in a model, is talent sans the need for experience.

I have come across many models who just walk, talk, act and socialize as mannequins at a carnival, dumb dumb dumb. Ok with due offense and respect at the same time, since when did the very stern blank face coupled with a duck lip pose seem sexy.

Anyways, as I was here to tell you, now one does need the aura of confidence around. And if that aint there when needed as the shutterbugs go click freaking click, sorry baby this aint the profession or career you’ve been dreaming off. We all are born with the talent to express, some do it through words , deeds or actions, others go non-verbal completely and use their expressions to do the talking. No wonder Monalisa till date demands a million smiles by the nano second.

So that’s tip number one, you gotta smile darlings and make love to the camera, just as you would steam up the sheets ahem. Now when that happens and for that to happen, one needs to imagine no one around him or her. They need to be taken into space or a different realm. As a director of photography choreography, I want to see the raw power, the sensual attitude, the in your face I am bold enough to kick your groins attitude, and the list can go on, so fathom my needs.

When I speak and convey my messages, you would have me speaking in various tons to connect. Honestly, we art directors or fashion still choreographers, have a lot of patience. But you as a model needs to get into our pants and souls literally at times to know where we are coming from.

So tips are attitude (no confusing this with ego), when you have to channelize a mood, use the art director as your bait, and hook him or her at the moment well to gain more of the steps they show. So for example, if we ever work together, you would hear me say “make me orgasm, show the me heat “ for an erotica shoot or even romance. And then I would instantly shift to pain and sorrow. So understand that versatility and a moment’s notice shift would always happen. Some of you I know reading this would have experienced this from me or by others.

Given you three tips, now lets focus on your make-up. I personally am against make-up of any sorts, coz I love my models au naturale, however for theme shoots or classy images, I allow a wee bit touchup. The same goes with the hair, but if I see that the models know what they want to look like, I wouldn’t force them otherwise.

One thing why I am loved by many to work with, is because I am blunt with my needs and the models I allow them to b that way with me too. This helps with transparency. So yes, another tip here , your emotions should come mainly through your eyes, and that “transparency” will allow you to speak a billion words every minute, so convey your vision, mood etc through those lovely eyes

And if you feel you are fat, ensure that you feel dam freaking good about it too. Coz honey, no shape is bad shape and I love my fried chicken and calories. One life to live man, enjoy your sexuality, your body and your mindset, and show that power through your smile and lip movements. Talking of lips movements, one should know that you can get lucky with the right movement of the lip. There is always something about the pout or the flatness of the lip. So don’t overdo them to leave nothing for your audience to imagine.

Sensuality doesn’t mean just baring it all for the world to see, porn does a better job at that. So please my dear boys and girls, men and women of honor, just because you hang low down there or perky up, up there, it doesn’t mean that you would be an instant hit, so treat yourself with loads of respect and command for it through your imagery at the photoshoot.
