Time to Paint

When it is time to paint.
I feel it everyday.
Know which painting to go to.
And start.
Hours go by. Never have an electronic device in hearing range.
It Is so quiet here on the Ranch.
Even if I tell myself , oh, I will just add some trees, I know it will be hours of being lost from reality.
In my painting world.
Drawing ideas from memory, scenes, smells, I love it.
Sometimes what I want to paint is not what I see but what is available to my strength.
People say my personality is child like.
Was use to taking care of 22, 2 year old children, at once on Sunday mornings. Loved it.
Learned to see how they saw. Their little questions.
Believe my young child shows up in all my paintings some how.
Always ask God to guide my hands when I paint.
I am so thankful for my painting partner and my Constant Companion, The Lord Jesus.
