The Red Series

I have recently begun a series of palette knife works on coarse Yarka Russian canvases. The undertone is deep red/burnt umber which is revealed after use of palette knife in blues and olive tones. These works depicts marsh scenes at different times of the day of the southeastern coastal marshland areas of Georgia and South Carolina. All works done strictly with palette knife so the viewer can see the movement of the knife.
