The Kumasi Project

The photographs and digital artwork we've posted on FAA are a joint effort between myself and my 9 year old daughter, Lexi. I'm the cheering section. She's been looking for a way to raise a little money for a service project she dreamed up last year and has been working hard on since then. She's already sent hundreds of books to students in Kumasi, Ghana and has saved enough to buy a wheelchair for a woman in Kumasi who's been crippled since birth and has no other way to get around. She's always been fascinated by color and in much of her digital art, she simply rearranges the colors already present in a photo she likes from around our home and community or from beautiful Africa. She's hoping that I'll help her post some of her creations when she gets home from school. Best wishes from both of us.
