The Fortunate Artist

So, I was feeling a bit sentimental at the studio today. I was reflecting on my journey that past couple of years and just how fortunate I have been. People seem to like my work, which is always step one. Beyond that, I have met so many wonderful people - clients, customers, new friends. I have also had a lot of people step up to help me - family and friends. I think there is something intuitive when people hear you are leaving your past behind to take up a new beginning. Especially if you plan to join the ranks of Artists.

For the few days that I doubt myself, goals, intentions, abilities - there are so many signs that come my way - that I should step back, enjoy some roses (or a good coffee), and just pinch myself.

I am never going to get rich in the monetary sense off this career path but I am finding that riches do come in so many packages. I am now rich in friends, spirit, and love of art!

Thanks to everyone for all of your support.

Very eloquently said. You have echoed the words many artists feel, and the doubts we all feel. Regards Joe
