The image we chose is "The Chelsea Bird" which is a concept that fascinated Arnold and he always depicted the bird as an elegant long necked and long legged creature, reminiscent of a heron, with very expressive movement. He created many sculptures exploring this mythical bird "the only one of its kind, said to live 500 or 600 years, to burn itself on a funeral pile and rise again from the ashes. Fresh and beautiful. For another long life" Much like the mythical Phoenix, I think.
