The Artists Garden

The garden is a beautiful escape from the fast pace of our daily life. This is one part of my garden where I go to relax and reconnect with nature. Every year the garden looks different. In this one, I have an old green chair that I painted with Black Eyed Susans, they are hardy perennials and drought tolerant flower plants. Another beautiful plant is the Phlox which comes in pink or white and smells like honey. My favorite is the Cat Whiskers plant with tall large pink blooms also called Pink Cleome, Spider Wisp or Spider Flower. Spider flowers are very easy to grow and the flowers have protruding hairs that look like the whiskers of a cat.

I love to grow White Phlox in my gardens. I have the white and pink variety. They are beautiful perennial plants and would look great in a all white garden. This plant produces many large flowers, they come in white, lilac, pink and purple.
