Spring Meadow

I started this painting about two months ago. I had an 8x10 plein air study done in Ogden Valley near the Jefferson-Hunt campground and a photo to use for reference. Even though it was very hot that day I really enjoyed my time spent painting by this peaceful meadow. The next week I spent some time off and on working on this larger studio painting but wasn't happy with it and set it aside. I pulled it out again this week and worked on it some more and am much happier with it. The studio painting differs from the plein air piece, mainly in distance. The plein air piece was actually a broader view, for the studio painting I zoomed in closer.
