You are probably wondering how on earth did I ever come up with the concept of 'Spiral Butterflies':
It all started with the first stanza of a poem I wrote:
I embrace the blank spaces,
between solitary raindrops
in May and Augusts’ fields of
exhaustion, between the caterpillar
and it’s silk, between the squab
nesting and her hatch, between
impenetrable summer days
and the swish of butterfly wings.

It expresses more to me than just a simple butterfly. It expresses the metamorphosis that occurs everyday in nature. It expresses how nature is the physical manifestation of something bigger. Call it Elohim, Holy Spirit, Allah. Call it whatever you wish. The spiral in my butterflies represents the connection of that butterfly to the Universe.
So present my first spiral butterfly that is base on the photo next to it. I welcome comments, questions and observations.
