Spending more time in Eastern NC

We all fall into the habit of visiting or vacationing in the same areas. It's easy, comfortable and you know what to expect. I think photography is the same way.

Being active in my hobby, I've been visiting the same locations over and over. But this year I've made an effort to do more research and explore new areas. One of those areas, I found these two silos. With the contrast in colors, and the late afternoon soon, just made them stand out.

How many times do we ride by rural areas, and not look around? This year I've made an effort to always have my travel camera in the car. Handy, if I see something interesting. So far it's paid off, I've gotten this shot of the silos, a few abandoned farmhouses, and graveyards. All in the middle of the field.

So take the time to go somewhere different. Might be surprising what you'll find.
