Pictures hung in groups often covering an entire wall is called "salon style" after the way art was hung at the exhibitions at the Paris Salon in the 19th century. Viewers pay attention to the over all effect more than any individual picture. It is suggested that you work out your arrangement on the floor first. Then cut a craft paper template to the size of each picture. Re-create your floor arrangement on the wall by taping up the paper templates. When you have it right start hanging the actual pictures.
Don't hang them to high. You should look down a bit on the lowest picture. Pictures look best at eye level.
