Safe

Every creative person has a deep seeded vision of what they wish to create. The problem is we do not always let it grow. We tend to let outside influences curve our original goal. We make something "safe" instead of something that feels real and from us. This is a terrible shame. The world never forms out of "safe." For an artist "safe" is a deadly crutch. It is important to dig deep into your mental guts and pull out your essence.
Some creatives had sunshine experiences in life, Others experienced more gritty paths. Some people are right in the middle. No matter the case, when creating it is important to remember these categories depend on so many view point factors that they do not exist at all. They are only in our relative minds, clogging up our work flow.
So, I want to challenge you. When you start to work on a new creation, catch yourself. Catch yourself being "safe" and jump back into the dangerous waters. Do what your mind is telling you to do, first. If you want a sunshiny painting to be blue, do not pull away. Just jump in and do it. If you worry about the outside world, STOP. Your creation is ONLY in your world. A world only worth sharing if it is honestly the true you. It is up to you to be brave enough to put it out there. When you do, you will become comfortable with it. Others will start to accept it, and you will shine as the original you.
