I have heard of people doing this, to see if anyone was borrowing their images. But I never knew of how to do it. Even though I would class myself as technical, I thought this was a service you just paid for.
How wrong I was!
Just go to http://images.google.com
See that little camera icon in the search box, click it.
Either point it to a url of an image, or the easier way I think. Click ‘upload an image’, then select ‘choose file’, and upload a smaller version.
Then the magic works, google will list if any other sites have your image, and some similar ones.
I found that uploading a smaller version was easier, i think the permissions on the files on the servers, holding the image file, hinder the search.
I hope this helps you all.

Thank you for sharing this information with others. The search feature is commonly known as Reverse Image Look-up. It is a very nice way to find any image that you suspect has been used elsewhere, other than where you've given permission. The only drawback from what I have seen, is when thieves use a technical method to keep web crawlers from searching the pages in which stolen artwork is displayed or stored.
