Rays Random Ramblings - 6

I don't know what happened. July 4th just ran right past us. Independence day. The day we celebrate all of our freedoms. The day we celebrate with parades, parties, picnics, and FIREWORKS!!! I've seen a few stories in the news recently. Thanks to a programming error, an entire fireworks display went up in one fell swoop. It was a fantastic show. Very impressive, but it was just a lot shorter than it was supposed to be. A fantastic fail for technology. In Nashville, someone attached a video camera to a drone and flew it high in the sky and filmed the fireworks from a vantage point nobody else had. A fantastic success for technology.

Technology can be a blessing and a curse at the same time. Digital photography and programs like Photoshop have changed the industry. Got a photo you really want to get right? Take 50 shots - one of them has to be a keeper. Something annoying in the background of your photo?? Cut it out and replace the background with something less annoying. From time to time I've done all of this. I even have a picture of my wife and I that never occured. She took my picture. I took her picture. Then I cut myself out of one picture and pasted it into the other. Another trick is to increase the saturation of a photo. I do this frequently. The key is to know when to stop. More often than not, I just bump up the color a little. Other times, for artistic purposes, I really amp up the color. Psychedelic Lilies is a prime example of this.

Random Ramblings

Having checked out a couple of craft breweries, I've decided that I am not a beer connoisseur. Just give me a bottle of Budweiser.

To the guy who invented atoms: Thanks for nothing!

A lot of people in the gym are working on six pack abs. I'm working on a keg.

Thanks for listening
