Rattlesnake Roundups

I am announcing my position on so called "Rattlesnake Roundups" in conjunction with that of the Kansas Herpetological Society of which I have been an founding member.

The Sharon Springs, Kansas event depends upon the capture and transport of rattlesnakes from other states and locations. Many of the capture techniques are cruel and inhumane such as gassing.

This activity has to be addressed in congress at the federal level since states like Kansas and Oklahoma ignore established wildlife code and conservation laws for the sake of sales and promotion.
