Artists for Art's Sake

Dear Howard,

We are pleased to inform you that the following artworks have been selected for the Artists for Art's Sake fundraising exhibition at the Millard Sheets Art Center, November 15 - December 19, 2014. Congratulations on being in this select group of artists supporting the art education programs at the art center. We had close to 400 submissions, and are very grateful and excited about your participation!

Please note that we reserve the right to decline your artwork at drop-off if it is not ready for hanging or if it appears unacceptably different from the image you provided at submission.

Please read the following carefully so the in-take of artwork is as efficient as possible:
Drop-off dates have changed. Please drop-off your artwork on Wed or Thur, October 29 & 30, between 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the art center, 1101 W. McKinley, Pomona, CA; enter at Security Gate 1 for directions. If these dates are not possible for you, please contact me to make other arrangements.
All artwork must be framed, ready for hanging and be labeled on the back with your Full Name and Title of Piece.
At drop-off, you will be asked to confirm the following information:
label information (your name, framed dimensions (H x W), title of piece, medium, price
amount of sale price being donated to the art center (40%, 60%, or 100%)
sign a waiver agreement
We will give you a supply of promotional postcards so you can promote the show to your contacts.
An image of your artwork (one if you have multiple pieces in the show) will be posted on the art center website by November 1, with your name, title of work, price, and your website, if you provided us with one. These images will appear on the website through December, after which your name will be added to our website listing of art center supporting artists.

Additionally, if you are able to donate 60% or more through the sale of your artwork, you will have the opportunity for a solo or small-group exhibition in 2015 in our special Artists for Art's Sake gallery at the art center.

We hope you are planning to attend the opening reception, which is November 15th, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. and/or that you will bring friends, colleagues, and potential buyers during other exhibition open dates, which will be each weekend, Friday - Sunday, noon - -5:00 p.m. Other dates/times are available during weekday business hours only with reservations made with Thomas Canavan, Art Center Manager, canavan@fairplex.com

Pick-up dates for artwork not sold will be Saturday and Sunday, December 20 & 21, noon - 4:00 p.m.
