Central Park is a painter's paradise. I spent several days driving down from Westchester County to paint in and around the Bethesda Fountain area within Central Park. I painted 4 or 5 small oils and came home with photos of many additional scenes. The oil shown, The Beresford from Central Park, is a 12"x16" oil based on a 6"x8" that I painted en plein air. What a beautiful building the Beresford. I just loved the lush array of trees and foliage framing it and the lake in front of it.
