Paint Dance

Once upon a time, I danced. As Artistic Director of a very successful regional ballet company I directed dozens of dancers through scores of magnificent productions. I danced, choreographed, taught workshops, designed costumes, and directed teachers. That was ten years ago. Today I direct dozens of paintbrushes, tubes of pigment, a big jar of mucky turpentine, and a daily wet canvas through a very different kind of adagio. While I miss the greasepaint and thunderous applause, I find serenity in a visual art form that I long thought I would never have a chance to pursue. Here therefore, is my daily paint dance.
