Opening Doors to Live

I am at a crossroads. Looking at a completely new horizon in life. I burned a 20 year career and left the ashes smoldering, alone. I am making the only choice I can make, saving the only life I can save (as Mary Oliver would say). I'm a seeker, an empath/healer, and an artist. Making connections with people at the heart and soul level have been my path to authenticity and fulfillment, or so I thought. Making art through multi-media, writing, and building things with my hands have always been my 'doings.' Those were things for spare time, the voices of the past say. Stay on a practical road, the voices yelled at me. That practice path was killing me. It did intact break my spirit, hence the big fire I created of that old life left in ashes. I choose love, people, connection, authenticity, passion, art, writing, reading with hunger, making beauty with my hands. I'm taking what M. Scott Peck calls the road less traveled. And, I won't regret it in 20 years. I'll always wonder if I don't take the chance at the crossroads now. I've chosen me. I've chosen, as Mary Oliver suggests, the only choice there is, to save the only life I can save. I hope you enjoy my work of love as I post it here in this website. Namaste. Cathy
