Old Relics

I find myself fascinated with finding and photographing old relics left behind. By nature I'm an outdoors person, spending a lot of my time in the woods, always running across an old relic. I get excited when I see a flash of chrome, a hub cap, or headlight bezel. I try to image the history of the relic and the family who owned it. How it came to pass that it lay half buried in over growth. Theirs something artistic about how nature envelopes these relics captive and weather eats away it's rusty pattern. The twist and turns of an old honeysuckle vine framing up it's man made prisoner to keep it hidden away.
