New National Emblem

It makes my blood boil to see how our politicians are treating people like total idiots. If I were to go on a rant now about the things that have happened in the last week alone it would be bad for my blood pressure.

The McNulty affair and the resignation from the board of Irish Water by Paudie Coffey’s driver are just symptoms of the disdain politicians have for the rest of us. I still can’t believe that we voted for the retention of the Senate but that’s over and done with now.

It might seem like I’m picking on Waterford when I mentioned Paudie Coffey and I have no wish to insult the memory of the great Thomas F. Meagher but I think it’s time to change our National Flag. This is a Banana Republic and a straight banana at that since that has been dictated by our European masters.
