My First Model Shoot

On Saturday, 8/8/15, I had the pleasure of seeing my first creative shoot with a model come together. I am very pleased with the outcome and the amazing response to the work. Marissa Armas, the lovely model, and I went to Mt. Pisgah in beautiful Lane County, Oregon. The "Masked" concept consisted of a desire to have a figure that presented a sense of the magical and invited the viewer in but in such a way that the viewer felt a little unsure as to whether s/he should accept the invitation. Simple wardrobe and masks helped to accentuate the sense of discomfort.

Marissa has been modeling for 3 years in the Pacific Northwest for such photographers as Joe Klune, Nick Johnson, Matt Garton, Jeremy Kruempel and many others. She has modeled fashion, jewelry, swimwear, lingerie, pin-up, and artistic nude. Marissa finds modeling gives her a platform to express herself, her ideas and to grow as a person. If you would like to view her work, please visit her portfolio, (#2897105) on Model Mayhem( http://www.modelmayhem.com). You may also email her at armas.marissa@gmail.com. The photos in my gallery also lists her portfolio at ISO Connection.

Working with Marissa to bring my concept to life was wonderful. The collaboration and her creative process combined with mine brought the work to a higher level than either of us could accomplish alone. Marissa and I have decided to complete 2 more projects together before the end of the year. We both hope you enjoy the collection "Masked" and that you will return when we complete our next projects for 2015.
