Moment In Time

Pictures are like frozen moments in time. We can print them and put them on a mantle to view later in life. Whether they be your bucket list or your collection of precious cars. Mine are moments of nature or happy times with family.

I wish I could take better pictures of animals in the wild. That's when I have to paint a picture with words. Fore example: This morning my husband was on his way out the door to go to work. He came back in and I asked, "O.K. what did you forget now." With a straight face he said " You just better remember to feed all those animals in the round pen." And he turned and left for work. Well, we no longer have horses on our farm, nor cows not even a cat anymore. I ran to the front window to see what he was referring to....Low and behold I had 20 turkeys scattered in the barn yard. Some in the pasture and about 10 in the round pen. I ran and got my camera from upstairs. and tried taking some photos. Turkeys are not easy subject and don't like to have their picture taken. Well, they all scattered back towards the woods. Later in the early afternoon, I went back out to do some chores and all 20 turkeys were perched on the wooden fence. Relaxing in the light rain that was falling. But again as soon as they heard the squeak of the hinges on my front door, they one by one took to flight. I guess some images are best to be personal memories. If you have an experience, I'd love to hear from you.
