Majestic Seascape

A good morning shooting at Merewether beach on Tuesday. Up at 4:00am. On the beach shooting by 4:30. Sunrise at 6;00. Cloudy overcast day so I could shoot well into the morning. I have started to develop some of the photos this morning. "Majestic Seascape" is one of the best photos I have taken or developed. Looking forward to seeing what else comes out of the photo shoot.

This photo represents a classic Seascape scene. The large rock in the foreground is captured in the lower left third of photo and the second main element, the ship is in the upper right third of the photo. These two elements combined provide the photo balance. Both the rock and the ship are on contrasting backgrounds to make them standout.

This photo was a 60 second exposure. The long exposure causes the breaking waves to become smooth and soft which give the photo a dramatic feel.

This photo was taken with a Nikon D750 full frame camera. 24 mega pixel sensor for high resolution images. F 22, 60 seconds. 24 mm focal length, ISO 100.

This photo was taken at Merewether Beach. Merewether is a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, located 3 km (2 mi) from Newcastle's central business district.

The suburb of Merewether includes some of Newcastle's most famous beaches. Dixon Park Beach leads south onto Merewether Beach and a little further to the more isolated Burwood Beach which leads to Glenrock Lagoon. At the southern end of Merewether Beach are the Merewether Ocean Baths, the largest ocean baths in the Southern Hemisphere. Merewether Beach is home to Merewether SLSC the oldest lifesaving club in the Hunter Region[4] and the Merewether Surfboard Club the most successful boardriders club in Australia
