Lord, Let It Be All For You

As my bio says, I am Catholic. We have a very beautiful church. It was built in 1823. Inside the sanctuary, you will find exquisite stained glass windows and some of the most mesmerizing statues of the Saints, the Blessed Mother, Angels and Jesus.
Sitting high above the altar is a large statue of the Sacred Heart. I can't tell you how often my eyes seems to just fixate on this statue of our beloved Lord during Mass. I find myself looking into the soulful eyes of Jesus as I pray. Last weekend was no different, except as I was gazing at the face of Jesus depicted in this statue, I began to get really emotional. Then, a verse popped into my head, "Lord, let it be all for you."
I sat there reflecting on that thought. I wondered to what extent everything I do is for the Lord? How well or how miserably am I allowing all I do in my life to be for Jesus? Then, a verse began forming in my head, and it went like this:

Every word spoken...every deed done.
Lord, let it be all for You!
Every prayer whispered...every soul won.
Lord, let it be all for You!
Every praise lifted...every song sung.
Lord, let it be all for You!
Every breath You give...every heart You forgive.
Lord, let it be all for You!

After I wrote it down, I knew it wasn't a hymn verse, or a poem or even just a simple prayer, but the words needed to recommit myself to doing ALL I do everyday for Jesus. He is the love of my life and I want every moment He gives me to be about working, praising and glorifying Him. I hope this verse and the artwork I've created here will help you to recommit your heart as well to walking everyday with these words engraved in your heart: "Lord, let it be all for you!"

Infinite Blessings,
Belinda Rose
