Living In IKEA

Ever wonder what it’d be like to live in IKEA? The other day I took a Friday off and played hooky. I ended up wandering around IKEA and I started to think that I should just find a hiding place somewhere in that gargantuan facility, wait until closing time, and see if I could stay there. Really, though, they make it look effortless to make your home look like a page out of their catalogue. They do a great job. But every time I’ve ever tried to emulate an IKEA catalogue so I wouldn’t be forced to hide out and live in their showroom, it just ends up looking a little dumb. Maybe someday I’ll get the hang of it. In the meantime, I’m ok with knowing I have no future as an interior designer.
