Landscapes Protocols, Art is Art. The Rule of Thumb is There Are No Rules.

Rule of Thirds! Horizon Straight! Anyone knows art is an expression. But without fail-There are those who critique and say "Rules are Rules"! Being a sucker for a sunset or a must have shot taker-It can be very frustrating. As a photographer-you see what YOU see and try to capture the moment best you can. Sometimes it is magical. Kind of like the perfect "soap bubble" you blew as a child or the perfect bubble inside a bubble you blew with the chewing gum in the dugout of a little league baseball came. You want to share it. The thought of "Hey Look" prevails in your mind!! You can't keep it forever-but you surely can remember it. My impression is there are no RULES when it comes to photographing landscapes. Not to say rules are not good-they just don't always make sense. If you get what I am saying, share your thoughts, photos and/or ideas? Love to hear them!!
