Kathy Braud Spring Activities 2014

The show was hung, the lovely Reception is over and was nicely received by staff, visitors and patients.
2 of the Ten Brushes artists did watercolor or watermedia painting demos as part of the event. Other artists were present to have talk time with guests. Of course the cookies and coffee hit the spot too.
I understand a local newspaper called Minnesota Women's Press was also going to run an article about our Ten Brushes group show (10 women artists) and that will probably come out in time for Easter.

Ten Brushes exhibition scheduled to hang soon. April 3 - June 26, 2014 at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), downtown Minneapolis, MN.
We are in the Red Skyway and a great variety of art will be on display with the works displayed. The artist reception is scheduled Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 1 - 3 pm. near the gallery exhibit in the Red Skyway. Artists will be present to visit with and a watercolor demo is planned. Address: HCMC, 701 Park Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55415

About the Exhibit
A group of Minnesota women-artists who call themselves the “Ten Brushes” share a sampling of their talent in the show, “BrushWorks,” at Hennepin County Medical Center April 4 through June 26, 2014. Banded together for mutual support and inspiration, these women represent a variety of styles and approaches to watermedia - including watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media. Members of the group have received many awards and honors locally and nationally. They are active in several arts organizations, serve on boards, and teach classes and workshops. The paintings in this show exhibit cheerful, tranquil, and uplifting themes.
The Ten Brushes include Kathy Braud, Barbara Duffy, Lisa Fertig, Patty Healy, Marie Hammond, Marilyn Jacobson, Deb Magelssen, Barbara Parisien, Leny Wendel, Wendy Westlake.
