today we have a few hour workshop by Iranian calligrapher their hands were swift and accurate.
though i don't know much about Iranian calligraphy but i am always curious for learning a thing or two
they were doing the particular famous font nastaliq
they even distributed some Qalamz (bamboo pens) especially crafted for calligraphy
i didn't get a chance to ask anything to them as they were surrounded by so many students and later they join hands with the calligraphers as well
How you find reza abedini,s work?
This is the question i want to ask to the Iranian calligraphers
cause i find reza,s work very bizarre and traditionally cool
. . .and the thing is i have seen the nastaleeq too many times in different demonstrations by different Iranian calligraphers that it kind of . . .i mean very repetitive and expected style
where else the modern iranian designers and calligraphers are doing good interesting work without loosing the zest of Iranian calligraphy
so today's demonstration was expected
but felt good to have those calligraphers around
