Introducing Mixed Media Art

After my very successful series of trees and forest, I decided to incorporate semi-transparent tissue paper in my new paintings.

That's the beauty of acrylic paints! Collage elements can safely be added to the painting without any adverse effects to the longevity of the artwork. I love handling paper and to create shapes and layers with this beautiful semi-transparent media.

The collage creates interesting textures that sometimes resemble the breeze blowing through tree leaves, the veining in tree leaves or complex shapes and patterns.
