Hurricane Ana has arrived in Makawao . . right now we have rain but no wind . the air is still with little or no breeze so the rain is falling straight down and not lateral which is good . . the air is dense and thick and the atmosphere is heavy . although it is 1052am it is very dark with heavy cloud cover . . I'll sign off now and try and keep in touch later today . . . "The Central Pacific Hurricane Center continues to monitor Hurricane Ana as it continues to move south of the Hawaiian Islands this weekend. Maximum sustained winds are near 80 miles per hour, with higher gusts. Little change is strength is expected today, followed by gradual weakening on Sunday.
