Getting Back To My Passion

After a relatively long break from my studio...I'm Back. For the past 1-2 years I have been dealing with health issues that has completely overwhelmed me and paralyzed all creativity within me. Many days I didn't even think about art, so obsessed about my disease and it's symptoms became my focus. Then there were days when I "longed" to paint, but just didn't have the energy or passion. It's been a LONG road, but I'm finally seeing light and am developing a mixed media/collage series I'm calling Bits and Pieces. Now there are days when I sit at my easel and "feel" creativity flowing again. Once my energies focused on producing work and re intergrading within my art community, synchronicity set in. I've updated and re-connected with my social media outlets to let past and future clients know I'm back. The day I reinstated my membership with Fine Art America, I got an order for one of my new pieces. I answered a "Call to Artists" exhibition of Cuban Artists at Gallery East in Belleview and I've been accepted; and I've been asked to demo my silk painting for the Leesburg Art Association for the new year. I'm thrilled to be feeling better and better each day and embracing my passion. Thank you God for the gift you have bestowed on me. May I be able to create always.
