My current and main blog is at http://prairiepainter.blogspot.com
I try to keep the thought process on the prairie painter blog confined to my artwork and photography as it relates to the region I live and work in - the Tallgrass Prairie.
The past several months have found my wife and I very preoccupied with building a new studio/gallery/office/shop. I presently take up about 35-40% of our farm house and that does create problems at times, especially when company visits!
We've taken a building that had been used as a sheep barn since the late 1950's (had been a poultry barn previous to that) and have just completed the transition. We recycled most of the material but have wrapped the building, insulated the new rafters, installed new windows, installed an air-to-air heating/cooling system, used the old roof rafters for the floor, and insulated the walls and used recycled barn board for the interior. We anticipate being fully functional by April.
I'll post here in the future as well, but will continue on the Prairie Painter Blog. You can catch up with our project at http://prairiepainter.blogspot.com
God Bless...
